About Us
Gourmet by Design is a Canberra based business that operates an online gourmet food and gift shop. Our online gourmet food shop allows our customers the opportunity to purchase their favourite gourmet foods and have them delivered to the address of their choice. We also stock our own pre-designed Gourmet by Design gift hampers or the consumer has the option of selecting products to make their own designer hamper.
We specialise in manufacturing a line of handmade chocolates, and by combining them with products from other manufacturers, we aim to create a delightful gift experience for the recipient. We are committed to quality and only purchase products from other businesses that share our philosophy for quality made food items.
Both our gourmet and gift products are presented on, or in, your choice of either: cane baskets; designer Hipp boxes; Australian Fine China platters; stainless steel trays; Ocho picnic hampers and totes; and, Carlo Rossini leather carriers.
All of our products are carefully packaged and protected with bubble wrap and sent in new cartons. When selecting our lines as a gift we include our own complimentary designer gift card and ribbons.
Our office hours are from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday. We are closed on weekends and all public holidays. Online orders may be placed 24 hours a day; however, orders placed after 2.00pm Friday will be dispatched on Monday.

To place an order online we require you to sign up and register your details. This is done to confirm your email address and ensure that we can contact you if any problems arise. Your details will not be disclosed to a third party and they will be kept secure as per our privacy policy.
